About the Best of Nassau County Contest
The Best of Nassau County Contest is an annual, community-driven competition operated by Schneps Media, publisher of Port Washington News, Manhasset Press, Great Neck Record News, Roslyn News Times, Nassau Illustrated News, New Hyde Park–Floral Park Herald Courier, Mineola–Williston Times, Glen Cove–Oyster Bay Record Pilot, Syosset–Jericho Tribune, The Nassau Observer, Long Island Press, and other award-winning community newspapers, magazines, digital properties, and major events across Long Island. Over more than a decade, the contest has grown from 8 groups and 157 categories to 12 groups and 240 categories, reflecting Nassau County’s diverse business landscape.
Recognizing Nassau County’s Best Businesses and Professionals
The contest celebrates the entrepreneurs, health-care providers, educators, business owners, restaurants, service professionals, and venues that help Nassau County thrive. Each year, tens of thousands of community members participate in the voting process, recognizing businesses and professionals for their dedication, quality of service, customer relationships, and ability to adapt to changing challenges. The resulting list of winners and nominees serves as a valuable guide for residents seeking trusted businesses and services throughout Nassau County.
